AstraZeneca: positive data for Breztri Aerosphere
(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca has announced a post-hoc analysis of the ETHOS phase III trial of its Breztri Aerosphere at the 2020 International Congress of the European Respiratory Society (ERS), which is being held virtually from 7 to 9 September.
The product showed a consistent benefit in reducing the rate of moderate to severe exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in all seasons compared to Bevespi Aerosphere in patients with moderate-to-very-severe forms of this disease.
The group said, “These additional data from the Phase III ETHOS trial are important in supporting clinicians' understanding of the robust clinical profile of Breztri Aerosphere, which has been approved in the US, China and Japan and is under regulatory review in the EU".
