AstraZeneca: extending collaboration with France's Voluntis
(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca is extending its collaboration with France's digital biotech firm Voluntis in the field of oncology.
Under the agreement, both companies will implement a new phase of clinical evaluation of their digital therapeutic, which is designed to support platinum resistant ovarian cancer patients treated with AstraZeneca's Cediranib and Olaparib.
In particular, Voluntis' eCO monitoring solution will be tested in a randomised phase III clinical trial sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), which will evaluate whether the digital therapeutic can complement treatment, enabling better management of side effects and improving patient outcomes.
