AstraZeneca: cardio-renal data to be presented in Munich
(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca and its research and development arm, MedImmune, will present new data from their cardiovascular, renal and metabolism (CVRM) portfolio of medicines at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) congress starting in Germany this week.
The data to be presented in Munich this year underscores the treatment of patients with overlapping CVRM diseases and multiple risk factors, such as diabetes or multi-vessel disease, the companies said.
In particular, phase IIa results from a trial in patients with stable atherosclerosis will represent the first findings from the collaboration between MedImmune and the academic Research organisation TIMI Study Group.
The ESC Congress will take place from 25 to 29 August.
