GlaxoSmithKline: names ex-HSBC finance chief as new CFO
(CercleFinance.com) - GlaxoSmithKline said on Tuesday that it has named Iain Mackay, HSBC's former CFO, as its chief financial officer, effective as from early 2019.
Mackay will replace current CFO Simon Dingemans on 14 January 2019 and will also be appointed as an executive director on the board, GSK said.
Mackay has been HSBC's finance director for the past 8 years.
There will be a transition period, with Mackay fully taking charge as CFO from 1 April, the British drugmaker said.
