GlaxoSmithKline: amongst final bidders for Pfizer unit
(CercleFinance.com) - GlaxoSmithKline is said to be on a very short list of final-stage bidders for Pfizer's consumer healthcare business, Bryan Garnier analysts said on Monday.
Press comments over the weekend reported that GSK and Reckitt Benckiser are the only two companies to have submitted non-binding offers for Pfizer's CHC business, the broker said in a report issued this morning.
On the other hand, Sanofi, J&J and Nestlé are all thought to have abandoned their bids, BG said.
Bryan Garnier estimates Pfizer's consumer healthcare division to be worth between 15 billion and 20 billion dollars.
