bp: acquires Blueprint Power
(CercleFinance.com) - bp announces that it has acquired Blueprint Power, a technology company based in the US, which offers to connect buildings to energy markets, via cloud-based software.
Blueprint will join bp's Launchpad portfolio.
Blueprint Power technology transforms commercial buildings into flexible electrical assets that generate, store and market renewable energy, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in dense urban areas.
The owners can thus sell the excess energy stored in batteries, or the energy generated on site from equipment (solar panels in particular).
