BP: deploys ultra-fast charging network
(CercleFinance.com) - BP announces that its subsidiary BP Chargemaster has started its first ultra-fast 150kW electric vehicle chargers at one of the energy group's distribution sites, starting the implementation of its electricity charging infrastructure network in the United Kingdom.
An ultra-fast reliable recharge is a critical factor to facilitate a broader adoption of electric vehicles in the UK, Tufan Erginbilgic, head of BP's downstream division, commented.
The company plans to deploy 400 ultra-fast chargers to its UK sites by 2021, as the network continues to grow in line with the introduction of new electric vehicle models.
