BP: signs exploration deal with Eni in Oman
(CercleFinance.com) - Britain's BP and Italy's Eni have signed a deal with Oman authorities on Wednesday to explore for oil and gas in the central part of the country.
BP and Eni will each hold a 50% stake in the project, with Eni acting as the operator during the exploration phase, the energy giants said.
The block covers a total area of over 2,700 square kilometres, 30 kilometres east of a BP-operated block which already contains two gas projects.
