BP: to cooperate on advanced technologies with Aker BP
(CercleFinance.com) - BP and Norway's Aker BP will jointly explore areas of cooperation in the development and deployment of advanced technologies in their businesses as part of a cooperation agreement, BP said on Wednesday.
BP today said that it has signed a joint venture agreement with the Norwegian independent oil firm to explore investments that target technology, including developments in digital twins, advanced seismic techniques and processing, and sub-sea and robot technology.
The alliance is also expected to include identifying and evaluating innovations that could improve the environmental performance of offshore oil and gas production, BP said.
