BP: signs MOU with Chinese fund on smart electric vehicles
(CercleFinance.com) - BP has signed a memorandum of understanding with Chinese private equity fund NIO Capital for a long-term partnership in electric vehicles, the companies said late on Friday.
BP and NIO plan to jointly explore opportunities in advanced mobility in China and internationally, including new energy infrastructure, intelligent automotive systems, connected vehicles and batteries.
China is currently benefiting from one of the fastest growth levels in new energy vehicles.
NIO Capital mainly invests in high-tech automobile industries, including electrification, autonomy and shared mobility.
