BP: files registration for IPO of US pipeline assets.
(CercleFinance.com) - BP said on late Monday that its subsidiary BP Midstream Partners has filed a registration statement regarding an initial public offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange.
The announcement comes after BP said in July that it had begun evaluating a share-listing plan for the assets in order to enhance shareholder value and to support its strategy to grow midstream business.
BP Midstream Partners expects the offering to occur on the NYSE in the fourth quarter of 2017, subject to market conditions.
Headquartered in Houston, BP Midstream Partners owns and operates pipelines and other midstream assets, with offices in Chicago.
