Rio Tinto: cooperation with Queensland (Australia)
(CercleFinance.com) - Rio Tinto has announced that it has signed a declaration of cooperation with the Queensland State Government (Australia), aiming to seize the opportunities offered by clean energy and making the Central Queensland region an industrial centre for renewable energy.
The state's premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk, has announced the construction of the world's largest hydrogen cell manufacturing plant in the region.
As part of this, Rio Tinto, the first partner to sign the declaration of co-operation, has pledged to use its experience to help create a future green industry for Queensland.
