Rio Tinto: partnership with China's SASAC.
(CercleFinance.com) - Mining giant Rio Tinto on Thursday signed a partnership with China's SASAC, the governing body responsible for supervising and managing the country's state-owned assets.
Rio Tinto and SASAC will work together to develop a program to share best practice and capacity building in areas including stakeholder engagement, licence to operate, environmental and economic assessments and community engagement.
Total asset value under SASAC's supervision amounts to approximately 74 trillion dollars.
