(CercleFinance.com) - Credit Suisse has cut its earnings estimates for Pearson on Monday, saying that the British education company's first-half organic growth, which is likely to be ahead of consensus, has "limited relevance.

In a research note issued this morning, the investment bank's analysts say they estimate first-half organic growth to be 0.4%, versus a consensus of -1.3%.
While Credit Suisse warns that growth could even exceed its estimates, the bank also warns that sales pressures are expected to be more acute in the second-half.
In terms of valuation, Pearson looks expensive relative to both the sector and publishing peers, Credit Suisse adds, reiterating its "neutral" stance on the shares.
