HSBC: finances sustainable projects in Asia with Temasek
(CercleFinance.com) - HSBC Holdings has announced a partnership with Temasek, a Singapore-based global investment firm, to establish a financing platform dedicated to sustainable infrastructure projects in Southeast Asia as part of efforts to mitigate climate change.
Both partners intend to invest up to 150 million dollars of equity to fund loans, in collaboration with strategic partners, such as the Asian Development Bank and Clifford Capital Holding.
Over the longer term, it aims to build a pipeline of large-scale projects, with over 1 billion dollars in loans within five years.
