BAE Systems: USD184m contract with US Marines
(CercleFinance.com) - BAE Systems has announced that it has been awarded a 184 million contract by the United States Marine Corps for amphibious combat vehicles (ACVs) that are currently being produced.
The Marine Corps has exercised an option on a previous contract.
An initial contract for 36 vehicles was signed between both parties in December. With this option, the total number of vehicles in production will rise to 72, for a total value of 366 million dollars, the British company said.
The contract award will cover the production, commissioning and support costs of the ACV-P personnel carrier variant (ACV-P), BAE Systems said.
