Diageo: sells Archers brand to De Kuyper Royal Distillers
(CercleFinance.com) - Diageo today announced the sale of Archers, the Peach Schnapps brand, to De Kuyper Royal Distillers.
John Kennedy, President of Diageo for Europe, said, "John Kennedy, Diageo's President, Europe, said: “We are committed to creating value for all our stakeholders through delivering consistent and efficient growth, including actively shaping our portfolio towards opportunities that will maximise growth over the long-term".
The transaction will have no material impact on EPS. As part of this, Diageo has entered into a 24-month supply agreement with De Kuyper Royal Distillers.
It doesn't seem to be much of a big deal though, with the Diageo share currently down over 0.5% in London, albeit a tad better than the market.
