BHP: Ken MacKenzie to become chairman.
(CercleFinance.com) - A veteran executive from the packaging industry is to become chairman of mining giant BHP, effective 1 September, the company said on Friday.
Ken MacKenzie will take the reins of BHP following Jac Nasser's retirement as both chairman and non-executive director after 11 years of running.
Ken MacKenzie, 53, has been a director of BHP since September 2016.
From 2005 until 2015, he served as chief executive officer of Amcor, a global packaging company with operations in over 40 countries.
He started his career as a manufacturing strategy consultant at global consulting firm Accenture's North American operations.
