Unibail Rodamco: stock soars on several nominations
(CercleFinance.com) - The Unibail Rodamco-Westfield (URW) share is up over 10% on Monday morning.
Its Supervisory Board met on Friday, in the presence of the three new directors elected at the Group's Combined General Meeting on 10 November 2020 (Mr Léon Bressler, Ms Susana Gallardo and Mr Xavier Niel).
At this meeting, the Supervisory Board took note of the resignation of Mr Colin Dyer from his position as Chairman, while remaining a Board member. It also recorded the resignation of Mr. Jacques Stern, Vice-Chairman, and of Ms Jacqueline Tammenoms Bakker, Ms Sophie Stabile and Mr Philippe Collombel.
The Supervisory Board has appointed Mr Léon Bressler as Chairman with immediate effect. He also becomes a member of the Audit Committee. Ms Susana Gallardo becomes a member of the Governance and Nominations Committee. Mr. Xavier Niel becomes a member of the Remuneration Committee.
Invest Securities said this morning that this announcement, which was made very quickly, comes as good news because, a priori, it removes a long struggle within the Supervisory Board and should therefore accelerate the development of a new action plan replacing or complementing the Reset plan (particularly in terms of disposals).
