EDF: acquisition of 75.5% of New NP's capital finalised
(CercleFinance.com) - As announced with the signing of the final agreements on 22 December, EDF today declares that the acquisition of a 75.
5% stake in New NP has been completed as of 31 December 2017.
As a reminder, New NP is the entity resulting from Areva, which groups together the industrial, design and supply activities of nuclear reactors and equipment, fuel assemblies and installed base services.
The last stage of the refoundation of the nuclear industry will correspond to NewCo's second capital increase (an entity that is refocused on the fuel cycle), which is reserved for the Japanese MHI and JNFL and which is expected to occur in early 2018.
