CGG: starts multi-client study in the North Sea
(CercleFinance.com) - The geoscience company CGG announces the start of a new 3D multi-client study in the Northern North Sea to enrich the existing Northern Viking Graben (NVG) program from a second azimuth.
The new study will record approximately 2,000 km2 of additional data in the east-west direction, which will then be processed with the existing north-south data to deliver a volume in both acquisition directions.
Sophie Zurquiyah, CEO, CGG, said, "Our superior imaging of the new data by our dual-azimuth processing experts will further de-risk existing fields and unlock the potential of new plays, near step-out opportunities, and stranded fields."
