CGG: appoints a new CEO
(CercleFinance.com) - At the end of last week CGG announced that Sophie Zurquiyah's will soon be appointed as the group's new CEO.
A graduate from the top business school École Centrale de Paris, she also has a master's degree in digital analysis from Paris-VI University and a master's degree in Aerospace engineering from the University of Colorado in the US. She will take over from Jean-Georges Malcor after the group's AGM on 26 April. As a reminder, Mr Malcor decided not to continue his mandate after the group's financial restructuring process.
Sophie Zurquiyah was previously COO and Senior Executive Vice President in charge of the GGR segment, Technology and Global Operational Excellence. She joined CGG in 2013, after 22 years working in the oil services industry, notably working for Schlumberger in executive, operational, functional and technology positions, based in France, the US and Brazil.
