CGG: end of TopSeis-based commercial study.
(CercleFinance.com) - CGG has announced the end of the first large scale commercial study that is based on TopSeis, its latest solution in acquisition and very wide band frequency seismic marine processing deployed in the Loppa High region in the Barents Sea.
The geophysical services group explains that Topseis has been designed and implemented to enable Lundin Norway AS to provide a better image of complex carbonate reservoirs at low depths of 400 metres to 2,000 metres below the seabed.
"Conventional methods for the acquisition of very wide band frequency have so far failed to solve the specific challenges associated with the imagery of this kind of objective," the group said.
