CGG: startup of study in the Gulf of Mexico.
(CercleFinance.com) - CGG has announced the launch of its first complementary wide-azimuth (CWAz) study, called AC CWAz, located in the southern part of the Alaminos Canyon in the Gulf of Mexico and which covers the Great White and Whale deposits.
This multi-client very wide frequency band 3D study of 130 offshore mining blocks completes the data from CGG's existing wide-azimuth studies in this zone by adding an additional azimuthal coverage and offset.
All historical and new data will then be combined and reprocessed using the most modern technologies in subsurface imaging. The first results (Fast-Trax PSDM) will be available soon after the acquisition is completed.
