CGG: starts a multi-client study in Brazil.
(CercleFinance.com) - CGG has announced the start off Brazil of Espirito Santo IV, a large multi-client 3D study with a very wide frequency band of 10,300 km2 in the deep waters of the Espirito Santo basin.
This study, which is set to last seven months, will be acquired by the Oceanic Champion vessel and will then be processed at the CGG imaging center in Rio de Janeiro. The first results (Fast-Track PSDM) will be available six months after the end of the acquisition.
CEO Jean-Georges Malcor said that this new study will expand our coverage of high-quality data, while enabling the industry to better understand the exploration potential for the next block auction.
