Valeo: top French patent filer in 2022
(CercleFinance.com) - Valeo has announced that it is the leading French patent applicant at the European Patent Office (EPO).
The group filed 588 patent applications in 2022. It is 31st in the world ranking of patent applicants in Europe.
Valeo's innovations are protected by a portfolio of nearly 33,000 patents worldwide.
The 10 places gained in this year's ranking illustrate the acceleration of innovation in the group to meet sector challenges and to offer safer and low-carbon mobility solutions to its customers around the world, management said. It added that this ranking illustrates the central role of innovation at Valeo. Company efforts are focused on four core areas of mobility transformation: electrification, driving aids, lighting and reinventing life on board.
