Valeo: partners Mobileye for safety standard
(CercleFinance.com) - At the 2019 CES in Las Vegas, Valeo has announced signing a partnership agreement with Mobileye to develop and promote a new safety standard for autonomous vehicles.
The automotive component supplier says that this standard will be based on the Responsibility-Sensitive Safety (RSS) model, a mathematical modeling of security developed by Mobileye, with it aiming to be widely adopted by the automobile industry.
Valeo and Mobileye will work together to develop the policies and technologies required to foster the adoption of this standard in Europe, the US and China. Valeo will bring its expertise in perception systems.
