Europcar: acquires Poleis Consulting
(CercleFinance.com) - Europcar has announced the acquisition, through Ubeeqo, of Poleis Consulting and its brand Scooty, a self-service electric scooter sharing start-up company.
Scooty is a Belgian start-up that was created in 2016 by Jan-Albrecht Jost, Bram Vandeperre and Michiel Van Roey, and offers its clients 176 self-service electric scooters in in Brussels and Antwerp. The client, in a designated area of the city, can locate, book, start and stop the scooter through an application.
There is no specific parking required for the scooters and they can be parked in dedicated areas of the city, in compliance with legislation.
Scooty will operate as an independent brand of the Group.
