Spie: maintenance contract for ITER site
(CercleFinance.com) - Spie announces that its subsidiaries Spie Nucléaire and Spie Facilities have won the multi-technical maintenance contract for the ITER site in Cadarache, the first reactor to explore nuclear fusion as a source of carbon-free energy.
Concluded at the end of September 2018 for four years and renewable for one year, the operational phase of the contract began on 1 December. About twenty employees work there on all types of building as well as related equipment.
From the first year, Spie will be responsible for the management of approximately 20 buildings, to which will be added twenty others by 2022, which will increase the area of intervention from 60,000 m2 at present, to 115,000 m2 at the end of the contract.
