Spie: participates in maintenance of a waterway
(CercleFinance.com) - The company SPIE, a specialist in multi-technical services in the fields of energy and communications, today announces that it will participate, as a subcontractor to the company Van den Herik Kust- en Oeverwerken B.
V., in the maintenance of the main waterway between Lemmer and Delfzijl (Netherlands).
The group said that this contract includes “34 movable objects such as moving bridges and sluices will be investigated on this 118 kilometre long route. SPIE is responsible for the renovation and conservation work.”
The Lemmer-Delfzijl waterway section includes 3 canals: the Prinses Margriet Canal, the Van Starkenborgh Canal and the Ems Canal. In particular its connects the major ports of Rotterdam and Amsterdam to northern Germany.
