Elis: meetings validate planned merger with Berendsen.
(CercleFinance.com) - Meeting yesterday, Elis' EGM validated the proposed merger with the British group Berendsen, according to the majority votes required.
This was also the case for Berendsen shareholders in the UK.
At the time, and as expected, a fund-raising program for the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), which will raise 200 million euros at a unit price of 19.74 euros per new share, was also validated.
Yesterday Berendsen's shareholders also met to validate the merger agreements and other necessary resolutions according to the required majority. Currently subject to condition precedent, these decisions are expected to be finalised on 12 September.
