Worldline: completes purchase of Banco Desio business
(CercleFinance.com) - Worldline has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Banco Desio's merchant acquiring business.
It has also announced the establishment of a commercial partnership to leverage Banco Desio's banking network to distribute Worldline's payment products and services to the bank's merchant customers in Italy.
Banco Desio is a major Italian banking group with a network of over 280 branches, whose merchant acquiring business provides payment solutions to approximately 15,000 merchants generating about 40 million transactions per year representing approximately 2 billion euros in MSV.
This division of Banco Desio also manages the marketing and distribution of more than 19,000 points of sale to merchants in the bank's network.
