Fnac Darty: excellent post-lockdown recovery

(CercleFinance.com) - Fnac Darty has announced an excellent resumption of post-lockdown business.

In April, when its entire store network was closed during the lockdown period, e-commerce sales almost tripled relative to 2019.

The Group gained a million new clients over the period, and recorded over four million transactions on its e-commerce sites.
It recorded 10% sales growth at constant stores after shops were reopened from 11 May.

The loss in sales resulting from the COVID-19 crisis is estimated at around 400 million euros at the end of May, excluding the contribution made by Nature & Découvertes.

"Current operating income at the end of June is expected to be E100 million to E120 million lower than current operating income released in the first half 2019, which stood at E46 million excluding Natures & Découvertes and operations in the Netherlands," the group said.
