Areva: dismantling operations in Germany.
(CercleFinance.com) - Areva is to form part of the consortium which, in conjunction with the German company EWN, will be in charge of dismantling the reactor pressure vessel of the Brunsbüttel nuclear power plant in Germany.
No amount has been specified.
These works, which come under the contract signed with the plant's operator, energy company Vattenfall, are set for completion in 2020.
In addition, Areva says that “this contract includes an option for the Krümmel nuclear power plant (also operated by Vattenfall, Ed.) if its dismantling and decommissioning (D&D) is opted for.”
