Edenred: suspicions of collusion in prepaid tickets

(CercleFinance.com) - According to Le Figaro, the French competition authority is about to fine the main companies offering prepaid restaurant tickets in France, i.
e. Edenred (Ticket Restaurant), Sodexo (Chèque Restaurant), Natixis Intertitres (Chèque de Table) and Up (Chèque Déjeuner).

In a market that is keeping its head above water today (+0.35% just before noon), the Edenred share is down around 0,5% in morning trading, while Sodexo is pretty flat.

The French competition regulator blames these companies for implementing a system which, between 2002 and the end of 2015, enabled them to exchange information regularly on their commercial strategy. This enabled them to close the market and prevent the emergence of new competitors, the paper writes.
