Suez: wins wastewater contract with Toulouse Métropole
(CercleFinance.com) - Suez announces that the Toulouse Métropole has awarded it with its public sanitation service for the next 12 years, a contract that is worth a total of 520 million euros, and which will take effect on 1 January 2020.
The utilities group will manage the 17 wastewater treatment plants and 3,700 km of sewerage networks in the Métropole's 37 municipalities. Suez plans to invest 100 million euros in factories and networks.
The service is organised around a dedicated company, under the control of Toulouse Métropole “under the terms of open and transparent governance that will set a new standard in relations between public authorities and private companies.”
