Suez: signs a contract in the US.
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday in mid-afternoon Suez announced that it has won the contract to operate the drinking water plant in the Mohawk Valley area of New York State in the US.
Amounting to 14 million euros, this new contract enters into force today for a period of 5 years.
Suez will operate and maintain the plant, which has a capacity of 121,000 cubic meters of water per day, in order to guarantee a sustainable and efficient supply of drinking water to the 127,000 inhabitants of Utica and the neighboring towns of the counties of Utica, Oneida and Herkimer.
The group will also support the Mohawk Valley Water Service in optimizing investments by conducting an assessment of existing infrastructure and implementing new treatment processes, in accordance with health and environmental regulations that are in force.
