Getlink: strong traffic for Eurotunnel last weekend
(CercleFinance.com) - Getlink has announced that over 30,000 cars crossed the Channel on Eurotunnel's Passenger Shuttles in both directions over the first weekend of the summer crossover, with peak traffic on Saturday 18 July, approaching 11,000 vehicles.
In all, over 120,000 passengers used the Tunnel.
"This level of activity is in part due to the end of quarantine requirements in the UK but is also down to the popularity of Le Shuttle; customers reassured of being able to travel while staying in their car, without any contact with the outside world," the group said.
