Getlink: cancels dividend and implements adaptation plan
(CercleFinance.com) - Getlink has said that its board of directors has decided that, at its AGM, it will not propose the payment of a dividend of 0.
41 euro per share for 2019. This would have meant a payout of 225.5 million euros in May.
From 1 April, the group has introduced part-time work for its 2,339 French employees and is working on an equivalent scheme for its British staff. Jacques Gounon has proposed that his remuneration be cut during this period.
The board has also decided that exceptionally its AGM of 30 April be held without its shareholders and persons entitled to attend, being physically present; in other words, it will be held behind closed doors.
