Getlink: passenger shuttle traffic down 13% in November
(CercleFinance.com) - Getlink has announced that passenger shuttle traffic fell by 13% y-o-y in November, with 142,106 passenger cars transported.
The period suffered from uncertainties in the UK, in the run-up to the general election, held today, 13 December.
Meanwhile, Shuttle Freight traffic transported 130,952 trucks, down slightly 13% y-o-y, hit by both stocking effects in October ahead of Brexit, in addition to an unfavourable calendar effect.
Since 1 January 2019, passenger shuttle traffic has fallen slightly (2%), with 2,418,827 passenger cars transported, while Shuttle Freight has transported almost 1.5 million trucks, down 6%.
