Eurotunnel: shuttle traffic down in November
(CercleFinance.com) - Overall there has been a fall in shuttle traffic in November for Eurotunnel, with the Channel Tunnel rail operator citing the impact of maintenance operations.
Last month, passenger traffic on cross-Channel shuttles fell by 6% year-on-year to 141,490 passenger cars, while truck traffic fell by 2% to 140,257 vehicles transported.
Capacity offered declined due to increased maintenance operations at the beginning of the month, the group said.
Over the first 11 months of the year, the number of cars transported has fallen by 1%, while there has been virtually no change in the number of trucks which have used the Channel Tunnel.
