Eurotunnel: passenger shuttle traffic down 5% in July.
(CercleFinance.com) - Eurotunnel has announced that passenger shuttle traffic fell by 5% y-o-y in July, with 304,653 passenger vehicles transported.
This traffic was penalised by a doubly unfavourable comparison basis, due to the end of the Euro 2016 football tournament last year, in addition to the biennial Le Mans Classic.
Meanwhile, Shuttle Freight traffic transported 136,293 trucks, down slightly (-1% y-o-y).
Since 1 January, passenger shuttle traffic has fallen slightly, with 1,470,454 vehicles transported (-3%), while Shuttle Freight has transported almost 960,000 trucks.
