Rexel: acquires Mayer in the US
(CercleFinance.com) - Rexel today announces the acquisition of Mayer, a leading distributor of electrical products and services in the eastern United States.
Mayer operates 68 branches in 12 states, with a strong presence in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. The company generated revenues of 1.2 billion dollars over the 12 months to end-August 2021.
Based on an enterprise value of 456 million dollars, the transaction is expected to be accretive to Rexel's earnings per share in year one and value accretive in year two. With this transaction, Rexel's debt-to-equity ratio will remain well below 2.0x EBITDA on a proforma basis, it said.
