Scor: agreement for acquisition of 100% of Mutré.
(CercleFinance.com) - Scor has announced signing an agreement with the Fédération Nationale de la Mutualité Française and Matmut with a view to acquiring 100% of the shares of MutRé SA, of which the reinsurer currently holds 33% of the capital.
This acquisition, the impact of which will enhance Scor's return on equity and EPS, will enable it to strengthen its life and health services offering for its “mutualist” clients in France.
Ratification by the other shareholders (approximately 15% of MutRé's capital) is expected by October. The transaction, which is subject to authorisation of the ACPR and the relevant competition authorities, would be finalised at the beginning of January 2018.
