ADP: passenger traffic down 1.1% in October

(CercleFinance.com) - After trading on Friday, Paris Aéroport reported traffic that was down 1.
1% y-o-y in October 2019.

The airport operator welcomed 6.6 million passengers at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (+4.1%) and 2.6 million at Paris-Orly (-12.4%).

"The decrease of Paris-Orly traffic is notably due to the closure for works of Orly's main runway, as well as the effects of the bankruptcy of the airline Aigle Azur, which ceased all its activities as from the evening of Friday, September 6," it said.

In detail, international traffic rose by 0.9%, while traffic to Europe (excluding France) fell by 1.7%, while traffic also fell (-4.8%) to destinations in France.

Since the start of 2019, traffic at Paris Aéroport has risen by 2.0%, with a total of 92 million passengers.
