Arkema: 2020 underlying EPS down 38%

(CercleFinance.com) - Arkema has published 2020 underlying EPS of 5.
11 euros (-37.7%), with EBITDA of 1.18 billion euros (-18.9%), i.e. a margin of 15% for sales of 7.88 billion euros, down 9.8% (-8% at constant exchange rates).

In May, the board of directors will propose a dividend of 2.50 euros per share, to be paid in cash. In addition, it will implement a share buyback program of 300 million euros after the sale of the PMMA business, which is scheduled for mid-year.

In a market context that remains uncertain, particularly regarding the health situation, the chemicals group estimates Q1 2021 EBITDA growth of around 10%, including an FX charge estimated at 15 million euros.
