EDF: reduces production forecasts for 2022

(CercleFinance.com) - EDF has announced that it is adjusting its nuclear production estimate for 2022 to 280-300 TWh from a previous range of 295-315 TWh, after updating on the stress corrosion phenomenon affecting portions of nuclear reactor pipes.


By way of illustration, based on available information for the company and on forward prices for 2022 as of 18 May, the estimated impact of the decline in nuclear generation in France on its EBITDA for 2022 has been re-evaluated at approximately -18.5 billion euros.

Based on the same elements, the energy group's financial outlook at the end of 2023 is adjusted to EFN/EBITDA ratios of about three times or slightly above three times and DEA/Adjusted EBITDA of about five times.
