EDF: successful E2.4bn green bond issue
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF has announced a successful major inaugural issue of green bonds convertible and/or exchangeable into new and/or existing shares (OCEANEs "Vertes") maturing in 2024 for a nominal amount of approximately 2.
4 billion euros.
This major transaction marks a key step in EDF's Cap 2030 strategy. In 2015, EDF set itself the objective of doubling its net installed renewable energy production capacity to over 50GW in 2030.
"Since 2013 the Company has issued five Green Bonds for a total amount of circa E4.5 billion in order to foster its development in renewable energies and has dedicated over the past few years approximately E2.5 billion per year of gross operational investments in renewables," EDF said.
