EDF: EU approves acquisition of EAG
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of the UK-based Energy Assets Group (EAG), by the Spanish group Asterion, Swiss Life Asset Management and EDF.
EAG is a provider of metering and data services for industrial gas and electricity, as well as multi-utility network construction in the UK.
The Commission concluded that the proposed concentration would not raise any competition concerns, given the limited overlap between the companies' businesses.
