EDF: creates an AI research laboratory
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF, Thales and Total announce the creation of a new artificial intelligence (AI) research laboratory, led collectively, as the first milestone in the implementation of the manifesto for AI serving industry signed on 3 July 2019.
Through this first joint laboratory, the three groups seek to develop AI technologies that are adapted to the needs of critical industrial systems - whether onboard aeronautical systems or energy production facilities.
Located in the heart of EDF Lab, in Saclay, the laboratory relies on the geographic proximity of industrial research teams, and on one of the best academic and innovation ecosystems in the world, the companies said.
